What is Title 1 PK?
Title 1 PK provides a high quality early childhood experience that prepares children to be ready for kindergarten and supports family engagement.
Title 1 PK is a federally funded full day preschool program for 4-year-old children residing in select Title 1 school zones in Polk County. Parents must reside within the school zone of the enrolling school and must submit the child’s VPK Certificate of Eligibility issued by the State of Florida with a current Polk County Public Schools’ PreK application.

How to Enroll in Title 1 PK Program
Step 1: Obtain your VPK Certificate of Eligibility
Step 2: Complete and submit the application
VPK Certificates of Eligibility issued by the Polk Early Learning Coalition cannot be taken to public school offices for enrollment purposes. The application cover page lists documents you will need to submit with the application. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program, a particular school or session.

You will receive a Polk County Schools Preschool Programs acceptance letter by mail or email. The letter of acceptance will provide you with the name of school, time of service and information on how to enroll your child at the school.
