The GED test is offered in English and Spanish in the state of Florida

To register for the GED, visit GED.com or call at 1-877-EXAM-GED. Dedicated call center agents for Spanish-speakers and adults who need accommodations are available.

When you register, you will be required to sign up for a MyGED account at GED.com. Once you have an account, you will be able to access information about studying, test-taking strategies, scheduling, scoring and college, and career opportunities. When you are eligible to schedule the test, you can log in to GED.com, click “Start Scheduling,” complete the demographic questions, schedule one test or multiple tests at a time, and pay for your appointment. These steps are explained in detail at the websites listed below.

Each test costs $32 and can be taken separately. The full battery of tests costs $128.

There is a discounted retesting fee for students who do not pass a section of the GED on the first attempt. Testers will be allowed two retests per content area at $12 each.

On the day of the test, you should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to testing and you must have your valid government-issued photo ID with you.

Online GED Preparation Course

Earn your high school diploma from the comfort of home!

Although they are not required, you are encouraged to enroll in an online GED preparation class. Individuals passing the GED test are awarded the State of Florida High School Diploma.

Benefits of an online course:

  • There are no classes to attend.
  • You can enroll anytime of the year.
  • Coursework can be completed at your pace and place.
  • Online GED instructor support is provided.
  • GED practice tests are available.
  • Adult Basic Skills (ABE) course is available if needed.
