Congratulations to Winter Haven High’s Trinity Hardy, who recently committed to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Hardy, a basketball standout at WHHS, will join the Army women’s basketball team at West Point. She ultimately plans to attend medical school and become a doctor.

“My West Point experience will help me achieve my goals and push me to become a better person and a better leader. I’m beyond excited for the opportunity,” Hardy said in a prepared statement.

The highly selective West Point has an acceptance rate of approximately 10 percent, and is regarded as one of the nation’s most prestigious colleges and military academies. Hardy’s commitment to West Point was celebrated during a Nov. 21 ceremony at WHHS.
