Earlier this morning, Davenport School of the Arts was placed on lockdown as law enforcement investigated a report of a suspicious person in the area.
In addition, Horizons Elementary, Loughman Oaks Elementary and Ridge Community High were placed on heightened security.
All students and staff are safe. Law enforcement has allowed all four schools to resume normal operations.
Some Davenport School of the Arts students who were being transported by bus to school this morning were taken to Loughman Oaks instead as a security precaution. Those students are now being transported to Davenport School of the Arts.
Parents can pick up their children from Davenport School of the Arts if they wish; it will be considered an excused absence. However, today’s classes are resuming as planned.
Again, all students and staff are safe. Thank you.
