PCPS’ Surplus Textbook Warehouse is reopening tomorrow.

The warehouse will reopen on Thursday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed from 11:30 a.m. to noon for lunch). It is located at 965 State Road 60 E. in Bartow.

The warehouse and other PCPS facilities closed in March in response to the coronavirus. Beginning tomorrow, members of the public can once again visit the warehouse to obtain free books, which include textbooks covering various subjects and grade levels, discontinued library books and pre-K early reading materials.

As a precaution, visitors are asked to please bring and wear a mask, and maintain social distancing at the warehouse. PCPS employees will be sanitizing the book carts and may have to limit the number of visitors who can enter the facility at one time.

At this time we plan to have the warehouse open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed from 11:30 a.m. to noon).

Please understand that the warehouse is operated with limited staff and resources. Members of the public are welcome to come browse the available inventory, but we are not able to respond to phone or online inquiries to locate or hold specific items.
