The Polk County School Board will hold a virtual work session on Tuesday, July 14.
The work session is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and will be broadcast live via the district’s YouTube channel as well as the following cable channels: Comcast channel 7, Frontier channel 45, Spectrum channel 642.
In addition, a special board meeting is also scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, for the purpose of discussing the upcoming superintendent search and allowing the public to have input.
The special board meeting will also be broadcast live via the channels listed above.
The meeting will take place at the Jim Miles Professional Development Center, 5204 U.S. Highway 98 in Lakeland, and will be structured to comply with CDC guidance, including social distancing and limiting the capacity of rooms.
Due to the limited space required for social distancing, only visitors making public comments will be allowed to enter. Temperatures will be checked. Visitors must wear a mask at all times while inside, and exit the building after making their public comments.
