Polk County Public Schools will soon raise the minimum wage for all employees to $15 per hour.
This new minimum wage will take effect on July 1, 2022.
The district continues to collaborate with our two employee unions — Polk Education Association and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 2227 — to decide the final pay structure for those already making $15 per hour. Once negotiations are complete and ratified, job descriptions and salary changes will be updated. If this occurs after July 1, any salary changes above $15 per hour will be retroactive to July 1, 2022.
Candidates interested in joining PCPS can browse available job openings and apply online by visiting polkschoolsfl.com/careers.
IMPORTANT: Current job postings do not yet reflect the increase in hourly rates, but will be updated as soon as negotiations are complete.
