PCPS Farmworker Program Earns State Recognitions

Polk's farmworker program earns state recognition.
Congratulations once again to our staff with the Farmworker Career Development Program (FCDP), who received an Outstanding Performance recognition from the Florida Department of Education for the third consecutive year.
In addition, Nilda Soto was named Project Coordinator of the Year for the second time in a row.
The FCDP assists youth and adult migrant and seasonal farmworkers who want to leave agriculture, and helps stabilize workers who choose to stay in the industry. Resources include technical training, job workshops, ESOL programs and GED assistance.
