Every year we make a point to celebrate students who have turned their lives around.

Today marked PCPS’ 29th annual About-Face Awards, which recognize middle and high school students who have shown significant improvement in their attendance, behavior or academics. The honorees gathered with family members and school staff, and each received a medallion as a symbol of their progress.

Nearly 50 students were recognized at this year’s event, held at First Baptist Church in Bartow. A special thanks to Bartow High’s Culinary Academy for serving breakfast, and thank you to the students from Bartow High’s Transition program for making the lovely table centerpieces.
