PCPS families now have access to an assortment of books designed to support teens dealing with mental health issues.
Nearly 50 electronic books are available in Cameron’s Collection, which can be privately accessed by students and parents, or used as an instructional resource by teachers and parents.
Intended for middle and high school students, the books cover topics including depression, anxiety, bullying, stress and self-injury.
Cameron’s Collection is available through PCPS students’ ClassLink accounts, or by visiting galepages.com/polkcam (password: readmore).
Cameron’s Collection was created in honor of Cameron Gallagher, a young girl battling depression and anxiety whose dream was to raise awareness and help erase the stigma about it. At the age of 16, she suddenly passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition.
