Polk County Public Schools will host a pandemic-safe version of our annual All-County Fine Arts Festival on April 9 and 10.

“The arts have been going on in all of the schools during the pandemic. Our teachers are finding ways to be creative and provide students with opportunities to express themselves through the arts, and that’s what we’re celebrating with the Fine Arts Festival,” said Beth Cummings, PCPS’ director of fine arts.

In normal years, the All-County events take place indoors at Florida Southern College’s Branscomb Auditorium. This year, to allow for social distancing and safe performing, the festival has been moved to outdoor venues in Winter Haven.

The elementary showcase and All-County jazz band will perform on Friday, April 9, beginning at 7 p.m., at Winter Haven’s Chain O’ Lakes Complex, 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd.

The stadium at the complex will serve as the venue for the following performances on Saturday, April 10:

10 a.m. — All-County Chorus
5 p.m. — All-County Orchestra
7 p.m. — All-County Band

Visual artwork from elementary, middle and high school students will also be on display from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at Winter Haven’s downtown Central Park.

All events are free and open to the public. Please wear a mask.
