Polk County Public Schools is ready to communicate should cases of COVID-19 impact our schools.

We will take every step possible to provide accurate and timely information, while adhering to laws that prohibit the release of confidential medical information.

PCPS will send a mass message in the event of a confirmed positive case at a school. The message will be sent to that school’s parents and employees via the district’s automated telephone and email system (SchoolMessenger).

Please make sure that your school has your current contact info on file to ensure you will receive SchoolMessenger communications.

Those who came into close contact with the positive individual will receive additional instructions on next steps, such as quarantining, monitoring of symptoms, etc.
