An update about Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) cards:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service recently granted Florida’s Department of Children and Families (DCF) the authority to issue P-EBT benefits to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and non-SNAP households with one or more students who temporarily lost access to free and reduced-price meals at school due to COVID-19 school closures and distance learning.
The benefits are loaded on EBT cards (example pictured below) that can be used to purchase food. According to DCF, cards for non-SNAP households will be mailed in a plain white envelope with a South Dakota return address.
PCPS is sharing this information to assist our families, but please note that the P-EBT program is managed by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
For complete information, please visit the DCF website or call 1-833-311-0321. Additional info is available on the DCF Facebook page.
