Hannah Larson and Cici McMonigle from Harrison School for the Arts are among this year’s winners of Arts for Life! scholarships from the Foundation for Excellence in Education.

A total 25 graduating high school seniors were selected from more than 650 applicants across Florida. A committee of fine arts experts chose the winners of the $1,000 scholarships.

Hannah Larson was recognized for creative writing and Cici McMonigle was honored in the visual arts category.

Arts for Life! was established in 1999 by Columba Bush, the former First Lady of Florida. The program recognizes the creativity and artistic talents of high school students from Florida’s public, magnet, charter, virtual and private schools, as well as home education programs.
