Kathleen High teachers are taking advantage of a special opportunity to expand their knowledge — and help improve their school.

More than 20 KHS educators are pursuing master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum & Instruction through the University of South Florida. The courses are being offered in evening sessions at KHS as part of a $4.4 million Schools of Hope grant, which also covers the cost of tuition and books.

One aim of the program is to boost student achievement at KHS by helping teachers to further their own education. You can read more about the initiative here.
