Social Studies Teachers of the Year Announced

Social Studies Teachers of the Year 2021The Social Studies Teachers of the Year winners from PCPS have been announced.

The annual awards are presented by the Florida Council for the Social Studies (FCSS), honoring outstanding educators from each of Florida’s school districts. Nominations from each county are submitted by superintendents or their designees.

The FCSS recently honored the 2021 Teachers of the Year winners during the organization’s annual conference in Orlando. Winners from 2020 were also recognized, since last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19.

“They’re just amazing educators,” said Jeff Hancock, PCPS’ senior director of science and social studies. “The opportunities they provide in their classrooms and the relationships they have with students really show how valuable they are to our district.”
