Today we gathered at Sleepy Hill Middle to celebrate a very special lady: Ann Tankson.
Tankson began working for PCPS in 1975 and spent multiple decades serving our district as a teacher, counselor, curriculum specialist, school administrator and consultant. She became the inaugural principal of Sleepy Hill Middle in 1998, and today, the school’s media center was named in her honor.
Today’s gathering was attended by many of Tankson’s former colleagues. She expressed appreciation for the many years she was able to serve our school district, and students.
She is enjoying a well-deserved retirement, but is still missed and beloved by all of us here at PCPS.
