Polk County School Board Approves Raises for Non-Union, Professional and Technical Employees

The Polk County School Board has approved pay increases that include raises for the district’s non-union, professional and technical employees.

The school board previously approved raises for teachers, bus drivers and other employees represented by the district’s two unions (more info here).

The new pay agreement includes:

– Raising the minimum/starting salary for food service managers to $27,793 per year, an increase of $6,648. Other food service managers will receive raises of approximately $6,800 to $8,800.
– School principals and assistant principals will receive raises amounting to a 3% increase.
– Non-union, professional/technical staff and district administrators will receive raises amounting to a 2% increase.

The raises are retroactive to July 1 and will be included in employees’ paychecks at the end of September. The full salary document can be viewed here.
