Two students from Harrison School for the Arts were among just 25 statewide winners of Arts for Life! scholarships this year.
Careagan Williams received a scholarship for drama, and Lathan Williamson received a scholarship for visual art. The Harrison duo were selected from more than 650 applicants this year, with winners chosen by a panel of art experts.

Each year, the Arts for Life! program awards $1,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or visual art. The program was started in 1999 by former First Lady Columba Bush.
