Floridians Encouraged to Submit Internet Access Data by Friday, Jan. 13
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity needs PCPS parents to verify their access to broadband internet by this Friday, Jan. 13th. The FCC map is used to determine funding given to various Florida entities to increase broadband internet access to communities.
Floridians are encouraged to visit the FCC National Broadband Map and enter their home or business address to view a summary of the FCC's broadband internet data for that location. If the listed information (regarding broadband internet by location, available service provider or available service speeds) is incorrect, please submit a challenge to correct the map data.
Floridians without a fixed (wired) or mobile broadband connection are especially encouraged to participate. A mobile phone, a friend or family member's computer, or a public access site (a school, community center, or public library) can be used to enter a home address, review, and if needed, challenge the FCC's national broadband map.
