Otis Birdsong has distinguished himself in the realm of basketball for over thirty years. At Winter Haven High, Birdsong led the Blue Devils to the 4A State Basketball Championship in 1973. After high school, Birdsong played at the University of Houston, and later joined the Kansas City (now Sacramento) Kings in the 1977 NBA Draft. He remained in the NBA for twelve seasons and was selected to the NBA All-Star Team four times. Since retirement, Birdsong has served in multiple leadership positions with organizations including the Arkansas RimRockers of the NBA Developmental League and the Continental Basketball Association Oklahoma Calvary.
