Major General Joseph Kenneth Stapleton (U.S. Air Force), Deputy Inspector of the U.S. Air Force, Office of the Secretary. Earned his commission and navigator wings in 1960 through the Aviation Cadet program at Harlington Air Force Base in Texas and flew 191 missions in Vietnam. Stapleton was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Silver Star and the Combat Readiness Medal.
