Judge Roy H. Amidon was Lakeland city attorney and a city judge before his election as a state circuit judge. A learned and intellectual man, Judge Amidon had a college degree in electrical engineering before earning a law degree. He earned a law degree while working full-time for the U.S. Postal Service. He was also an accomplished farmer, musician and journalist.
