Dr. Michael Washington, industrial engineer with the Centers for Disease Control, was selected in 2005 by the Institute of Industrial Engineers as Most Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer in Business and Industry. In 2003, was chosen as one of the top young engineers in the nation and one of 16 'New Faces in Engineering'by the USA Today newspaper and National Engineering Week magazine. Also been honored by the University of South Florida's College of Engineering for his engineering contributions to humanitarian efforts and services.
