Dr. James Morrison, founder and first president of the American Educational Research Association Special Interest Group on Postsecondary Education. Designed and implemented professional development seminars on strategic management and planning, issues management, institutional audits and forecasting for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University. A U.S. Army reservist, Dr. Morrison was awarded the highest award authorized for peacetime, the Legion of Merit medal, for his career contributions to army planning.
