Edgar Canter Brown Jr., Ph.D., award winning author, public speaker and leading authority on 19th century Florida history. Won the 1992 Rembert W. Patrick Memorial Book Award from the Florida Historical Society for the best book on a Florida subject. Holds a law degree and was an attorney for the Florida House of Representatives and was Deputy Legislative Counsel for the Georgia General Assembly.
