Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program

The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program aims to make homeownership more affordable by providing down payment and closing cost assistance to income-qualified, first-time homebuyers who are frontline community workers.

More than 50 professions may be eligible for this assistance through the Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program. Some of the eligible occupations include:

  • Classroom teacher
  • Career specialist
  • Librarian/media specialist
  • School counselor
  • Social worker
  • School psychologist
