The Books Bridge Bus has a new look this year!

Today the bus visited Oasis Academy, where we unveiled a colorful new design created by students from Harrison School for the Arts. A big thanks to HSA’s Remi Briggs, Bertie Creekmore-Scott and Lily Sell, as well as teacher Casey Hall.

Also, we’d like to thank Southern Graphic Designs for wrapping our two buses with the new art.

PCPS started the Books Bridge Bus program in 2013 as a way to promote early literacy and bring books directly to families in our community. The buses visit local preschools, public spaces and community events; each child receives a new book to help build their in-home library.

During the 2022-23 school year, the Books Bridge provided more than 35,000 books to preschool students in Polk County.

PCPS will have two shiny new buses on the road this year. To learn more and keep up with the Books Bridge schedule, follow the bus on Facebook: facebook.com/BooksBridgeBus.
