When it comes to BBQ, PCPS is smokin’ the competition!
Students from Bartow, Fort Meade and Frostproof high schools traveled to Wekiva High last weekend for the inaugural Jr. Pitmaster Competition hosted by Sonny's BBQ.
The Frostproof team won first place, followed by Bartow High. A total of 10 schools participated, evaluated by certified judges from the Florida BBQ Association.
The students also took part in a class with Sonny’s pitmaster Shannon Snell. Congrats again to Frostproof and all of the teams involved, as well as the teachers who supported them. And a special thanks to Sonny’s!
