Garner Academy has a brand-new look this year!
This morning we gathered at Garner to celebrate the completion of the school’s modernization project. The project has resulted in an extensively revamped campus, featuring a stunning new building that houses the main office, cafetorium and 52 classrooms.
Along with the fresh campus, Garner also converted to a magnet school this year, with a curriculum focusing on STEM education.
Garner was originally built in 1955. This school’s modernization is one of many PCPS construction projects made possible by our district’s half-cent sales tax, which Polk County voters renewed in 2018. We’re proud to know that this new campus will continue to serve many generations of Garner Tigers!
