We owe a belated congratulations to our own Deidre Skaggs, who was recently honored by the Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA).
Skaggs received the FSCA's School Counselor Advocate: District Leader award, which recognizes individuals who have had "outstanding impact in the school counseling field."
Skaggs is a senior coordinator with PCPS who supports school counseling at the K-5 level. She has been with our district for a remarkable 35 years.
In addition, we want to shout-out Veronica Kirby (pictured second from left), a resource specialist for PCPS K-5 school counseling services. Kirby was voted to serve as chair of the FSCA's governing board this year.
