Dr. Wendell Blake, known for his research in hypertension and cancer and published work on the issues in numerous medical journals and publications. Chief of General Surgical Services at U.S. Kenner Army Hospital in Virginia. Later had a private practice in Lakeland. Graduated as valedictorian at Rochelle Junior-Senior High.
