Judge Stephen Grimes, judge on the Florida Supreme Court and served as its Chief Justice. He was the first from Polk County to serve on Florida's Supreme Court. An appellate judge on the Second District Court of Appeal before becoming a Supreme Court justice. Head of litigation for the prestigious Holland and Knight law firm before accepting appointment to appellate court. Was president of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Received honorary doctor of law from Stetson University College of Law.
