Vita Hinshaw helped to grow her family's business, Lake Wales' Chalet Suzanne, into a world famous country inn and restaurant. Uncle Ben's Rice company named Chalet Suzanne as one of the nation's Top 10 country inns and Chalet Suzanne has been named to Florida Trend Magazine's Golden Spoon Award Hall of Fame. She fostered the relationship between the restaurant and NASA that led to the restaurant's soups being served on Apollo 15 and 16 and the Apollo-Soyuz space mission . Chalet Suzanne's Moon Soup was displayed at the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum.
