Polk County Public Schools has four more National Merit Scholarship winners for 2022.
The new graduates, all from IB Bartow, are recipients of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities. Congratulations to Satvik Gunjala (University of Central Florida), Sun H. Latt (UCF), Om Rakesh Patel (UCF) and Ethan Cross D. Zulueta (University of South Florida).
The four IB Bartow students were among 2,600 National Merit Scholarship winners announced today. The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually at the institution financing the scholarship.
National Merit winners are selected for their outstanding academic record and test scores, as well as extracurricular activities, awards and leadership roles.
IB Bartow's Sachin Sivakumar was PCPS' first National Merit winner for 2022, announced in May. Program officials will release another list of winners in July.
