Early this morning a team of Polk County Public Schools employees headed out to assist our neighbors in Lee County who were impacted by Hurricane Ian.
PCPS is sending 38 employees from our Maintenance, Custodial and Support Services departments, as well as 22 vehicles from our fleet. It's a very capable crew that includes carpenters, electricians and technicians of various backgrounds.
We are immensely proud of this group. They do excellent work for our district and we are confident they will do the same for our fellow Floridians to the south.
