Frostproof Middle-Senior Hosting Two Ceremonies Honoring Dedicated Staff Members

Frostproof Middle-Senior is hosting two ceremonies in honor of dedicated staff members and naming two facilities after them.

The public is invited to each event, which will take place at the school’s location, 1000 North Palm Ave. in Frostproof. No RSVP is required.

The school will reveal the naming of the Claire Bush Administrative Office Suite on Feb. 24 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Mrs. Bush served Frostproof Middle-Senior for 40 years as a teacher, class and club sponsor, cheerleading coach, guidance counselor, and assistant principal.

The next event will take place on March 3 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and reveal the naming of the David F. Lewis Fine Arts Auditorium.

Dr. Lewis began his career at Fort Meade Middle-Senior High School in 1979 as the band director and assistant principal for curriculum.

He went on to spend three years as an assistant principal for curriculum at Frostproof Middle-Senior before serving 10 years as principal. Dr. Lewis was instrumental in making the auditorium being built on the campus possible. He also worked in district leadership positions, including senior director for high schools and associate superintendent for teaching and learning.

He is currently the superintendent of Muscogee County School District in Columbus, Ga.
