Fifth Grade Academic Team
The Fifth-Grade Academic Team Tournament begins in January with preliminary competitions in which schools are grouped by geographical areas. The two top-scoring schools from each of these preliminary rounds compete in one of three semifinal rounds in February or early March. The finalists then compete to claim the title of Polk County champion.
Area Competitions
The two teams with the highest scores from each area competition will compete in one of three semifinal rounds to be scheduled during February or early March. The finalist teams will then compete in the County Championship.
Semifinal Competitions
The two teams with the highest scores from each of three semifinal competitions will compete in the County Championship.
